About the Speaker
Garth Meikle's professional trajectory is a testament to resilience, ambition, and tenacity. A native of Jamaica, he immigrated to Boston, MA with his family in 1978. Raised in challenging circumstances, Garth's determined spirit was shaped early by his mother's relentless dedication to her family and the challenges of navigating their new environment.
Garth’s commitment to service and personal growth was evident when he joined the US Army Reserves after high school in 1987. His time in the military, spanning two decades, witnessed his impressive ascent from a Private (E1) to ultimately retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW2 USAR). Notably, he graduated from the US Army Warrant Officer Candidate School and the Army Medical Department's Health Services Maintenance Technician Warrant Officer program. He further earned his badge as a Biomedical Equipment Technician from the esteemed United States Army Medical Equipment and Optical School (USAMEOS), demonstrating a rigorous pursuit of excellence in his field.
Parallel to his military achievements, Garth has been an integral part of the CE-Tech family, managing over 200 biomedical service accounts. His journey began as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, specializing in anesthesia. Recognizing his leadership and technical acumen, Garth was promoted to Field Service Supervisor in 2013 and ascended to Field Service Manager by 2022. His extensive knowledge was further solidified when he achieved the AAMI ACI certification as a CBET in 2011 and then CHTM in 2025. An avid educator, he has presented at symposia, including the Florida Biomedical Society Symposium and the MD Expo Conference, and has guest lectured at Florida State College Jacksonville.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Garth's life is steeped in continuous learning and community service. He boasts a comprehensive educational background, with certificates from the Baystate School of Appliance and the Franklin Institute of Technology. Rooted in over 29 years of leadership roles, his career narrative is one of ceaseless progression, underpinned by his ethos: learn from the past, refrain from excuses, and consistently strive for excellence.
In his role as Field Service Manager at CE-Tech, Garth collaborates closely with various managerial teams and clients, ensuring top-tier service that surpasses expectations. His unique life experiences, combined with an eclectic skillset, position him uniquely as an invaluable pillar of CE-Tech and the broader biomedical community.
